Some like it hot and dry, some mild and cosy; the RUKU Thermium, the combination of sauna and infrared cabin, offers both. And with an integrated steam generator, it offers even more. The variety of up to 6 types of bathing in just one cabin makes the RUKU Thermium the first choice for many of our customers. In addition to the possibility of different types of sauna, the soothing warmth of infrared offers health benefits that cannot be enjoyed in a conventional sauna. So why settle for a classic sauna when you can have 3 in 1 - infrared sauna, Finnish sauna, steam bath - with the RUKU Thermium?

Close overlayRUKU Thermium: Infrared makes the difference
The Thermium from RUKU Sauna-Manufaktur is a special infrared cabin with highly efficient iso-wood insulation and an infrared panel heating system integrated into the wall. It combines the bathing possibilities of an infrared cabin with those of a classic sauna. Supplemented by the Meditherm steam generator, you can even enjoy steam and aroma baths with up to 100 per cent relative humidity in the Thermium.
Comforting infrared heat
The heat is generated in the Thermium by panel heating elements in the cabin walls. The wood panelling warms up quickly without becoming uncomfortably hot. As with a tiled stove, the heat is emitted as long-wave, mild infrared C radiation - an extremely pleasant type of heat.
Infrared develops a heat that is well tolerated by all age groups and makes the body sweat pleasantly even at low temperatures. In contrast to the heat of a stove, which heats the air more strongly, infrared radiation acts directly on the body.
The benefits
The air in the cabin remains cooler at the same body temperature, which also results in a higher oxygen content. This is easier on the circulation and respiratory tract, and the heat distribution in the cabin is more even.
More space and more safety
Since no bulky heater is used in the Thermium, there is more space available in the infrared cabin. There is no risk of burns as the heating elements are located behind the wall panelling.
From mild heat to dry sauna heat
Compared to other infrared cabins, the Thermium can not only be used for heat baths at low and medium temperatures, but also for classic sauna sessions at air temperatures of up to approx. 85 degrees. This is one of the main advantages: Infrared cabins offer the right temperature for every person and every course, so that everyone can enjoy the effects, warmth and health aspects.
For more information on the patented infrared panel heating used, see here.
Therme
Infusion in the infrared cabin
You don't have to do without an infusion in the infrared sauna either. Every Thermium cabin is fitted with a so-called Therme as standard. Similar to a sauna heater, but much smaller, the safely shielded wall-mounted unit contains heated lava stones that can be doused with infusion water. Herbs or aromatic oils can also be vaporised in an aroma bowl. Depending on the size of the cabin, a thermal bath with 600 or 1200 watts of power is used.

Wood types for interior and exterior panelling
For the wall and ceiling panelling, you can choose between different basic wood types: spruce, rustic spruce, fir or hemlock. These specially manufactured sauna profile boards, with extended tongue, particularly deep groove and special milling on the back, have a wood thickness of 16 mm. This gives them better durability, more stability and greater thermal insulation, but you can of course also equip your cabin with selected woods such as Swiss stone pine or nostalgic spruce. A large selection of fine real wood veneer panels offers scope for your individuality.
