The classic sauna bath is a dry heat of 80 to 120 °C followed by a cool-down. For lovers of intensive sweating, RUKU Sauna-Manufaktur offers cabins with iso-wood insulation and a sauna heater - so that the next sauna ceremony can take place in your own home.
At RUKU, you have the choice between basic models from the Elegance series, which already fulfil the highest demands for a sauna in your own four walls as standard, and individual customisation of a sauna according to your dreams. Create your own oasis of well-being using Nordic spruce, local fir and other fine types of wood. We plan and build your sauna cabin to your exact measurements. You also have a wide range of options for furnishing the interior. Cosy loungers and seats for several people as well as lighting and ventilation ensure that your sauna session becomes an event and can sometimes last longer. Step into your own RUKU sauna and experience cosy moments just the way you like them.

Health effects of your sauna
Regular saunas have been proven to have numerous positive effects on health and well-being. Harmful bacteria are killed by the heat. The alternation of hot and cold during the sauna ceremony has a hardening effect and prevents colds. The dry, hot climate increases blood circulation in the respiratory tract and stimulates mucus production. The sweat bath also cleanses the skin and has a deacidifying effect.
However, some people find the very hot air and strain on the circulation in the sauna unpleasant. Anyone who has already caught a cold should not go to the sauna. For these cases, we recommend the RUKU-Manufaktur-Thermium, which with its infrared heater makes the body sweat comfortably even at relatively low air temperatures.
Isowood insulation
No mineral wool is used for thermal insulation in RUKU Manufaktur saunas. Only the air chambers and aluminium reflective foils embedded in the wood ensure excellent insulation quality. The advantages of the Isoholz system: it is harmless to health, moisture-resistant and energy-saving. All cabin elements - walls, ceiling and floor - are fitted with the iso-wood insulation.
Sauna heaters
Whether a free-standing heater, wall-mounted heater or underbench heater: We can provide you with exactly the model that is best suited to your sauna - naturally with heat-resistant infusion stones. A sauna heater must be one thing above all: safe. That's why all the heaters in our range are VDE-tested and carry the GS mark. Sturdy heater panelling protects against injuries. Durability is another important feature of our sauna heaters. Made of stainless steel, they are maintenance-free and easy to clean. The low heat output per heating rod results in a reduced surface load on the individual rods and thus leads to less wear.
Turn your sauna into a steam bath!
Supplemented by the RUKU Meditherm, your sauna cabin can also be used as a steam and aroma bath. The Meditherm generates a relative humidity of up to 100 per cent. You can vaporise herbs or aromatic oils in the easy-to-clean ceramic bowl and bathe in soothing aromas. The steam device can be easily integrated as an addition to your home sauna and provides a pleasant and soothing heat bath with its mild warm air. You don't have to decide in favour of the clever extension immediately when buying a sauna, as the simple installation is ideal for retrofitting.

Wood types for interior and exterior panelling
For the wall and ceiling panelling, you can choose between different basic wood types: spruce, rustic spruce, fir or hemlock. These specially manufactured sauna profile boards, with extended tongue, particularly deep groove and special milling on the back, have a wood thickness of 16 mm. This gives them better durability, more stability and greater thermal insulation.
Of course, you can also equip your cabin with selected woods such as Swiss stone pine or nostalgic spruce. A large selection of fine real wood veneer panels offers scope for your individuality. Our sauna experts will be happy to advise you on the options for personalised design.
